So, here's the deal...
I have two Sweet Burden titles on Amazon. One is the First Edition, which would make the second one the Second Edition. I will be retiring the First Edition in a few days, but there are some great reviews on the Amazon page. I can't transfer the reviews over, so they will disappear once I retire it.
So, I decided to post the reviews here:
Great Read!
“I like to consider myself a pretty avid reader. I like all
different styles of books from Life of Pi to Twilight. Sweet Burden is
definitely a good read. It is certainly geared towards the teen to late teen
reader, but it is well written, well thought out and doesn't include vampires
:) I found as I got to the end I really wanted to know what happened, and upon
finishing the book, I can't wait to read the next book. Well done Ogden! I
can't wait to keep reading your work!” – Kate (Columbus, OH) 12/17/2012 (4 Stars)
I can't wait for book 2!
“I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am anxiously awaiting
the second installment. The story is so unique and entertaining... Very age
appropriate for young adult readers” – Anonymous 05/09/12 (5 Stars)
Simply Outstanding - 5 Stars are not enough!
“LOOKOUT TWILIGHT AND GOODBYE HARRY POTTER! THIS BOOK IS
SURE TO GET YOUR BLOOD BOILING AS YOU SURFACE FROM PAGE TO PAGE ON THE EGDE OF
YOUR SEAT ANTICIPATING WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT …..IT'S SIMPLY
O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G……” – Ty3175 03/31/12 (5 Stars)
If you like Twilight, you'll love this!!!
“Fantastic book! I stayed up a few long nights just to keep
reading it!
The characters are well thought out and the fantasy part of
this story is very new and fresh. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan
of the Twilight series. I'm excited to see where the author takes us next!” –
C. Meade “Anon Hillian” (Silent Hill, USA) 02/09/12 (5 Stars)
This Book is Movie Material
“K.L. Ogden's skill in writing this story is brilliant,
beginning with the very first sentence and concluding with the last. Drama,
danger, intrigue, romance, chivalry, duplicity are woven meticulously
throughout the story. Ogden's descriptive and intricate details create a tale
that the reader does not want to put down OR to end. While the prospective
audience may be teens and young adults, the book is absolutely entertaining for
all ages. Hitomi and Obsidian, their friends and foes, live an astonishing
existence that keeps the reader involved and wondering what will happen next. I
am looking forward to the second book in the series!” – cv 02/08/12 (5 Stars)
New book series
“With so many young adult authors getting stuck in the rut
of the same old vampire stories, it is nice to actually see a fresh story about
a little bit different type of characters. I hate to give spoilers because part
of the brilliance of the story is the way that the reader discovers the
mysteries of the main character. It is the beginning of a series that could
potentially be a very epic story of good versus evil, a great read if you are a
fan of the young adult genre.” – J 02/05/12 (5 Stars)
Don't worry though, Sweet Burden is still available....
It's just the Second Edition now!
